Yorkshire based Fenn's Den is a female led mobile forest school providing children with an engaging nature-inspired play and learning experience. Our mobile forest school offers a unique opportunity to explore the outdoors whilst learning through play.
About Fenn's Den
Donna is the owner and founder of Fenn’s Den, a mobile forest school dedicated to connecting children with nature. She has always had a love for children and the outdoors where from a very early age her late parents, Paul and Marie Fenn (see where the name comes from?!) taught her to love, enjoy and respect our environment.
After becoming a mummy for the first time, Donna decided it was time to take a break from her 20 year law firm marketing career and Fenn’s Den was born!
Donna is now a part-time supply teaching assistant in a primary school and is currently training towards her Forest Leader Level 3 qualification. Donna has already completed her Fire & Pedagogy training and has enhanced DBS, paediatric first aid and public liability insurance in place. She is also creator and leader of Eco Kids, a local environmental group for children who live near to her.
Donna's love for children and the outdoors aligns perfectly with her values and principles, making Fenn’s Den a true reflection of her commitment to nurturing young minds and promoting a healthy, nature-connected lifestyle. She believes that there's nothing quite like nature to help keep us healthy.

Our Services
Explore our flexible offerings to inspire and educate children in the wonderful outdoors. From stay and play sessions and birthday parties, to holiday clubs and school visits, we have something for everyone!
Stay and Play Sessions
Come along to our pop-up sessions where your little ones get to learn, explore and play. Activities can include den building, climbing, planting, loose parts play, water channelling, nature hunts and crafting. Not forgetting toasting marshmallows on the campfire!
Where possible, sessions are linked to the Early Years Curriculum.

School and Nursery Visits
We recognise that not all nursery provisions have an onsite forest school. Worry not, whether it's a concrete yard or a lawn area, we bring the forest school experience to your setting, enriching children's learning with hands-on nature activities. Working with you, we tailor a programme of activities to suit the needs of your children and the curriculum.
Birthday Parties
Celebrate your child's special day with an outdoor adventure that combines fun, learning, and nature. We can bring the forest school to your home, working with most spaces (you don't need your own forest!). Perhaps you would prefer an external venue, we can help. Fully flexible packages available.
Community Groups
Fenn's Den is keen to engage with all members of the community. A childminder get together, SEN playdate or home educated group, we can help. Let us bring the Den to you, tailoring activities to meet the needs of your children whilst taking the hassle out of you needing to travel.
Events & Fairs
We offer pop-up services at local fairs, community events and private functions. Add something a little different to your event to entertain the children and encourage learning at the same time.
